Windhoek Oktoberfest 2017
Due to the enormous popularity of the 2016 Windhoek Oktoberfest, we have decided that we are going to introduce a slightly different structure this year.
Opening night 20th October 2017
Think group team building events or just getting a group of friends together for a fun-filled experience. Special activities to look forward to includes the following:
Fest Beer
There will be a special “Festbier” available which is brewed specially for the Oktoberfest by Baumeister Christian Müller.
The opening of the keg will take place on Friday night.
With the exclamation “O`zapft is!” (“It`s tapped!”), the first beer is handed to the mayor of the city who then declares the Oktoberfest officially open
The Kirchdorfer band will be performing
They have been the official band in the “Hacker-Festzelt” at the Octoberfest in Munich since 1994 and will be flying in straight from there to perform at the Cape Town Oktoberfest
Schuhplattler Dancers
Schuhplattler is a traditional style of folk dance. In this dance, the performers stomp, clap and strike the soles of their shoes (Schuhe), thighs and knees with their hands held flat (platt).
Traditional Food
It’s hard to compete with hearty melt-in-your-mouth Deutch Dishes which complement your beer perfectly. We are serving up traditional specialties bringing the taste of the Munich Festival right to your doorstep.
We will be selling reserved tables with 8 persons per table, and there will be 2 different packages on offer.
• Platinum package which includes a 1LT branded beer mug per person, a snack platter for the table and access to a waitron selling at R2 800
• Gold packages package which includes a 1LT branded beer mug per person and access to a waitron selling at R2 000
21st and 22 October 2017
We have added an extra day and will be open on Sunday. Tickets will be sold through Computicket.
Kid Friendly
These two days are family friendly with special entertainment added to keep the little ones busy.

Other games include “Bierstemmen” (Beer-Lifting), “Hau den Lukas” (High Striker ) with Nageln, Beer Pong and Catty shooting.
