The first of the Legacy Series will be based in Bloemfontein and will serve as a dipstick for future events. The first Legacy Series race will be in memory of the late Leon Botha.

It will be the legendary Brandwag 4km route starting and finishing at the Tempe stadium (Military Base). This “Brandwag 4km time trial” became extremely popular as a barometer and most of the top distance athletes during Leon’s time tried their hand at it more than once.

10:00 start of the race
08:00 entries will open and the day will finish at 12:00. There will be a 4km time trial and walk (plus/minus 45 min) and at the same time Dräger will use the new Training Gallery to simulate confined space entry during the event. Dräger will showcase their state of the art technology and all are invited to walk and browse the equipment.
